Marilynn Stark The Composer Who Cares In the entire creation there is substance -- mass and energy. Moreover, energy relates to that mass as if the two, mass and energy, are indeed interchangeable. How many are there in the world who contemplate this rarefied truth and actually incorporate it into any practical picture whatsoever? Perhaps there are only ever an extremely rare few who would meet those metaphysical tenets of truth in some active mindset. However, there is sound. Sound is equated to the birth of the physical creation. The physical creation, being by its nature of the more gross level, is available to our perceptive awareness through sight by the visitation of light, for instance; seeing is one mode of perception. Surprisingly, though, it is sound which correlates to the physical world about us as some kind of primordial, derived attribute of a first fundamental. This is why the Vedic texts do extol sound in the ancient language of Sanskrit as the essence of truth personified and available for the purpose of finding knowledge of what is. Music is a certain language of sound itself, a non-verbal one. Its essence reflects the nature then again of all of what is. Instrumental rendition as according to the native praises as well as plaints of musical language embraces and expresses the human soul, having the potential power and moment to lay bare the inner truth itself of the spirit, the inner truth of the very self. Perhaps this terse analysis will help you to understand why music is so universal in its reach, its inviting expanse. If these words do not enhance your receptive mind to all music, no matter your tastes, then please take the time here to acquaint yourself with my own music which I view in all humble attitude as a gift for you. My compositions are from the divine through me and are meant for you.
